Me in 'The Book of Hopes'

The Book of Hopes, a new compilation project led by author Katherine Rundell, features stories, poems, illustrations and non-fiction pieces from over 100 contributors from the children’s book world including Axel Scheffler, Michael Morpurgo, Jacqueline Wilson, Francesca Simon and Swapna Haddow.

The collection is hosted on the website of the National Literacy Trust and is dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers and all those working in hospitals to protect us: they are the stuff that wild, heroic tales are made of.

A hardback copy of the book is available to purchase too. Proceeds from sales of the book go to NHS Charities.

Activities to help children find their voice and build confidence through poetry based on the poem ‘Me’, by Swapna Haddow, can now be found on the National Literacy Trust’s website as part of ‘The Book of Hopes’ recovery curriculum resources.
